Cherry Cake and Pasta with White Sauce.

Hello everybody.

Unfortunately not a bite from yesterday is left so I had to cook something today specially that my son has finals and wanted to eat quickly and go out to study.

So after searching for what to do I grabbed a pack of pasta and quickly made white sauce and some meat tomato sauce then fixed a big pan of bachemel pasta for today and tomorrow as well.

When done I made a lovely cherry cake upon my husband’s request, it’s been a while since I baked something, love this one it’s amazing with tea and coffee.

Cheese Stuffed Steaks.

Hello everybody.

My husband bought some meat yesterday preparing for Ramadan coming in couple of weeks so as to avoid crowded roads and shops as usual,anyway I kept some fresh steaks to do today.

Well as I always say my number one application to look for new recipes or ideas is Pinterest, just love this it !

Found this super easy recipe, you simply stuff then roll steaks and grill them in some oil and butter. Stuffing was minced garlic, chopped onions and parsley, some pesto sauce and a hard sharp cheese with spices and salt of course.

Happens to be that my friend did the same but stuffing was shredded veggies, looks yummy as well.

Made mashed potatoes and a salad on the side plus a sauce made of balsamic vinegar,steak sauce,a bit of Worcestershire sauce and one teaspoon butter all boiled till it thickens

Potatoe Cheese Frittata.

Hello everybody.
After a busy morning preparing the final touches for my son’s graduation party I went home with the intention of not cooking anything.

Well my plan didn’t work cause yesterday’s leftovers were not enough so I made a mix of potatoes,cheese, egg and flour with a bit of parsley and baked a delicious frittata, see cooking isn’t hard when you think a bit :mrgreen:

Chicken Tikka Masala.

Hello everybody.

Love this dish, full of spices and different from everyday tastes, prepared all ingredients early morning and quickly cooked it when my tiny guest left home.

Chicken tikka masala and Indian rice was our lunch today.

Homemade Vimto.

Hello everybody.

After a beautiful elegant breakfast at my friend’s balcony, thank you dear Amal for the lovely time.

Went back home in a hurry, made some burgers, my son in order to give it a twist topped it with a sunny side up egg, full satisfying sandwich.

Found some old berries and strawberries so I did them same way as raseberry lemonade and result was a really fresh tasty Vimto imitation drink, I know many people consider Vimto a must in Ramadan well this juice is much healthier of course.

Artichokes!

Hello everybody.

My big artichoke plant needs harvesting,they’re much much better than last year’s ones, no insects at least.

But as usual though big only the end of bulp is used, after boiling them with some lemon I peeled them and made a nice rich salad with baby corns and palmetto.

Farewell Gathering.

Hello everybody.
Sorry for the delay, extremely hot busy day.

Prepared something for a picnic tomorrow with my friends plus a small farewell gathering for my best friend who’s leaving tomorrow.

For this evening I did a chocolate mousse or mocha cake, some za’tar buns and a plate of watermelon and white cheese.

Stuffed Mushroom and Courgette Flowers.

Hello everybody.

Too hot to cook today and nobody gave me any answers about what they want so I did what I found.

End result was some okra in olive oil with garlic, onions and tomato and no meat, vegetarian style. Then I decided to do some stuffed mushrooms with garlic, coriander, cheese, breadcrumbs salt pepper and chili, and since I have some courgette flowers that I intended to fry I stuffed them same as mushrooms and all together in the oven.

Result was super, all gone in minutes

Happy Independence Day Jordan

Hello everybody and Happy Independence Day to all.

To live the spirit of today’s celebration we started with a colorful breakfast decorated with Jordanian symbols. Bagels with cream cheese, labaneh and peanut butter jam filling.

Dessert was a beautiful Jordan’s flag colored cake, made four layers of colored batter then assembled all with cream and fruit salad, like a rainbow cake but with different colors.

Lasagna and Pan Garlic Bread.

Hello everybody.

Another busy Saturday, I think I should change my schedule sometimes I really wish to have a real lazy weekend, always failing to do so.

Well lunch today was lasagna with mushrooms and spinach inside,a bowl of Ceazar salad and I did the same pizza procedure as yesterday but with garlic powder, oregano, salt and a drizzle of olive oil on top, really yummy and crispy.

Guess this pan pizza will be on my easy to do stuff list.
