Hunting Season Cake.
Hello everybody.
Hunting season started,for me it means that my hubby will go every weekend hunting with his friends, it’s a sacred hobby for him as everybody (friends and family) knows,seldom does he misses a weekend specially when his favorite kind of bird hunting is allowed which I think from mid September till end of October if I’m not wrong.
I usually bake this cake for him to take,It’s not something special but I called it hunting cake cause it’s what they like, simple cake with raisins on top, that’s it 🙂
I dust raisins with flour so as not to sink all the way down when baked.
ingredients for cake are:
* 3 eggs.
* 1 1/2 or 2 cups sugar.
* 3/4 cup oil.
* 1/2 cup milk.
* 2 cups or 2 1/2 cups flour.( according to batter texture)
* 1 tsp vanilla and 3 tsp baking powder.
* mix all ingredients together and add any other additives you like like cocoa for Marble cake,orange,nuts,spices or anything to your taste!
As for lunch, I have some fava beans with rice from yesterday and made simple noodles soup cause I went to the dentist today pulled out a tooth and It hurts to eat so a soup is just fine. Thank God for our great experienced dentist for his patience and skill,excellent job Dr. Khalil thank you 🙂
Arafeh Fasting Dinner. (افطار وقفه عرفات ).
Hello everybody.
Today we’re fasting as most Muslims around the globe are,may God accepts all your prayers and good deeds.
I invited my niece’s fiance who came home from Australia to have dinner with us cause he’s craving all dishes he sees on fb !!
So upon his request I made salmon with cream cheese, eggplant pizza, stuffed mushroom, pesto pasta, chicken curry vegetables rice and a big salad bowl with grilled cheese and sesame seeds.
Dessert was a new chocolate biscuits cake a member in banancooking group posted the other day. Recipe is normal chocolate cake but filled in the middle.
Ingredients of filling:
* 2 tablespoons custard powder.
* 2 tablespoons brown sugar.
* crushed biscuits (I added some Oreos and flutes)
* 1 tsp cocoa powder.
* 1 tsp Nescafe (forgot to add it in the photo)
* some crushed walnuts.
* grease a baking pan or cake mold with butter and cocoa powder.
* mix the cake ( you can use ready mix) pour half of it in the pan.
* add biscuit mix then add the rest of batter.
* bake in medium heated oven for 40-50 minutes or till done.
Very delicious juicy cake, but I guess Oreos made filling dark and didn’t show biscuits clearly when cut, but taste is great ♡

Roya TV Interview.
Hello everybody.
BIG day yesterday,I think I’ll mark it as a turning point or new start for something different,not sure what it’ll be but I was really happy and very emotional from the huge amount of loving and cheering comments specially from my family and friends, my dearest friends took me out to celebrate my, as everybody assured me, first TV interview.
I was interviewed on Donya Ya donya morning show/ Roya TV ,talked about my blog, how it started and grew and about my future plans. Had to admit I was very nervous at first but it all went smoothly and the beautiful anchor was very nice and natural.
Thank you again to all family members,friends,followers and members of group banancooking for your support.
Well all this doesn’t mean I didn’t cook,my son just arrived from Berlin after a month absence and of course cooked his most favorite dish stuffed courgettes,made some stuffed vine leaves and string beans in olive oil .

Summer Farewell Breakfast.
Hello everybody.
This morning all family ladies gathered at my uncle’s garden for breakfast, a kind of farewell to Summer days cause as usual here in Jordan we suddenly go into Winter, no in betweens !
As agreed from last week it was a sharing party, though my aunt almost prepared most of the food from her household pantry, cheese, labaneh, olives and delicious newly ripened stuffed eggplants (مقدوس )…etc.
The star of the table was fresh home baked bread done by my dear cousin, unbelievably tasty, wiped out instantly.
At the meantime I’m preparing dinner for our dear friends, made some lovely appetizers and salad, will post them later.
Inshallah we always gather each year in all seasons and times in good health and happiness, love you aunties and cousins and sorry expats, I know you all wished to be with us.♡

The Lebanese House/ Um Khalil <3
Hello everybody.
After calling most of Amman Lebanese restaurant and failing to find a free table for lunch we decided to head north to Jerash to the Lebanese Restaurant or as it’s famous name Um Khalil, though called also to check but luckily a table was available.
Food was delicious as usual except the bbq-ued meat , a bit greasy, but all in all it was good and service was excellent.
Nice ride and scenery better than staying in the city after all !
