Minced Meat in Pitta Bread (عرايس ).

Hello again.

  This is our main dish today, it’s supposed to be done on the grill when bbq-ing but I always do it this way and tastes as good , well frankly grilled on charcoal are  much more delicious but these are  just fine !!!

  The exact translation to the arabic name .( عرايس ) is brides ( plural of bride!!!!!!)  I really don’t know the reason of the name ..if anybody knows, please do inform me!!!
 
Ingredients and method:
* minced veal or beef.
* 1 small finely chopped or grated onion.
* 1-2 grated garlic (optional)
* 1 large ripe grated tomato.
* 2-3 tablespoons soaked burghul.
* finely chopped hot pepper.
* salt, pepper and tabasco.
* small pitta breads or big cut to halves.

* mix all ingredients well together.
* fill each pitta with a spoonful of the mixture.
* brush them with olive oil and bake in a medium heated oven till golden and crispy.
* serve with yoghurt and hummus or salad.
