Heading North Irbid-ing.

Hello everybody.

Heading North to my hometown today , though we unfortunately go only for special occasions, either wedding or pay condolences, but the drive is always a welcome specially these days, Spring is obvious everywhere not like the city.
One thing you surely have to buy on your way back home is dairy products: yoghurt, labaneh, mwe yoghurt, white cheese….etc. perfect with fresh taboun bread 🙂
One thing you notice on the way is the line up of fresh seasonal vegetables and fruits sellers on both sides of the road, these days it’s fava beans, green almonds, beans, green chickpeas (حامله ) , Ekob (عكوب )…etc.
Irbid also has lots of special dishes like Makmoora (. مكموره ), Cha’acheel (تشاعاتشيل )، Eid bread (اقراص عيد ) M’ata’a (مقطعه ) ….etc. All these were inherited throughout the years from late late grandmas.

It was really a beautiful day, great weather and lovely company.
