Good morning lovely people.
Beautiful weather and a yummy simple breakfast is a great way to start the weekend.
Nice quick trip up North to Irbid, beautiful green hills and scenery.
As always we stopped by dairy products store on our way back, a speciality of the city,Irbid is known of its best yogurt ever specially these days.
Lunch was what we got, fresh ewe yogurt, labaneh and hot bread. Personally I consider this the best meal ever.
Hope you all had a nice weekend 😀
Lovely day though a bit cold and cloudy but this didn’t stop us from having a nice cozy breakfast outdoors.
No hunting today due to weather conditions so as a small lovely gesture since all are home we
Of course tea with mint is a must, enjoy your weekend lovely people.
Alone for lunch today so I was looking for something light and quick to do,though hate eating alone but well one have to sometimes.
Found a pack of feta cheese in my fridge so I directly decided to this super easy appetizer that we always eat in our favorite restaurant in Limassol /Meze Tavern in old town. Of course it’s served alongside a wide selection of meze but today only with some rocca salad and crisp toasted bread.
Though the one they make stays more firm cause it’s originally this way so it stays the same after baking, mine was a bit crumbly but yummy nevertheless.
You simply coat the feta in foil paper then drizzle with olive oil and add oregano, tomatoes, olives and herbs. bake for 10-15 minutes and that’s it.
Another hot and dusty day with expected thunder rain, again no mood for hot cooked food.
Choice was niscoise salad, veggies, boiled eggs and potatoes, olives with lemon onion olive oil dressing.
Satisfying in these conditions.
Quickest solution for lunch since I didn’t intend to cook anyway was freshly picked okra fried then sautéed with garlic, onions and chopped tomatoes then seasoned with salt, pepper and paprika.
I also made a dish of white cheese and watermelons and a small one of labaneh with black olives, all yummy and cool.
How are you all doing in this heat? Guess hot fatty dishes aren’t desirable in this weather though many made mansaf or maqloubeh nevertheless.
Well a last minute decision cause all woke up late was this long time no cook dish. Shushbarak with tomatoes, I added mushrooms black olives, pesto, oregano and a bit of feta cheese over ready made shushbarak pieces then all topped with mozzarella.
Yummy cool and fulfilling, fake ravioli my kids call it.
Big family breakfast this morning, woke up early and baked lovely small ka3ek,table was full of yummy oriental stuff.
Lunch time came,no mood to cook at all, then remembered I have cooked chicken breasts in the fridge so I sliced them then added some pesto, tomatoes, lettuce, green onions, olives, avocado, relish and mustard great sandwich combo with the rest of morning ka3ek.
Lunch today was steak with mushroom sauce and mashed potatoes, though potatoes weren’t successful cause I cut them to cubes then boiled them till done ( I usually keep it as is) so mash was runny didn’t like it at all, never again.Thank God steaks were excellent.
On the side I made my famous French Pizza, always a favorite side dish at any meal or occasion, very simple and easy.
Chopped peppers, mushroom, olives with some cheese, mayonnaise, salt and pepper mixed then topped over sliced French baguettes.
